Sarvajeet Chandra | | Dear All
Needed advice on the methodology of how to classify outlets in the hardware channel.
In India, the retailers are usually small outlets who are family run or have an owner with a few assistants.
What are the surrogate indicators that could be used in absence of people disclosing their turnovers
Best

Devendra Singh | | Hi Sarvajeet, i think we can classify hardware outlets by different parameters: 1: Who are their end customers (individuals/Small Businesses/Large corporations ets) 2: Size of the store. 3: Kind of Hardware on sale. 4: Kind of store (sells everything under the sun or specializes in selected hardwares)
I am sure there can be other parameters too but this is what i can think of now.Private Reply to Devendra Singh |
